Hannah said this about Follett Photography: “Ryan and I can not be any more appreciative for all the efforts you put into our wedding day. So we want to thank you big time for doing such an amazing job and organising everyone for the photos. It really can’t be easy having to coordinate everyone! Your professionalism was amazing and you made everyone laugh whilst doing the shoots. You went out of your way to make sure Ryan and I were happy the way things where running. And for that we are so grateful! It’s clear you are very passionate about what you do 🙂 The whole day was magical and we are so glad we picked you as our photographer 🙂 We hope that you did have that drink on the way home! As you deserved it for sure haha. Thank you again for all your efforts and being apart of our special day 🙂 Hannah and Ryan X”

About their wedding: “Our wedding day was magical, that is the best word to describe it. Everything was perfect. The island hideaway team were amazing, during the preparations time and the actual day. The first location we saw, we picked for our special day. It had everything we ever dreamed of, all in one area! Tucked away on south Stradbroke island, which brings me along to describe the favourite moment we shared there, firstly walking down the aisle into the chapel, hearing rumbles of thunder in the distance whilst seing flashes of lightning behind us. The familiar faces of family and friends and people who had come all the way from overseas to celebrate with us and of course Ryan, waiting at the end for me in his lovely suit 😉 We both just had such a dreamy day.”

I will let them tell their story …

Mon Komo hotel where I was bartending at the time. Ryan often came in every Friday with his friend Rodney, and would come to me for his drinks. After a month of visiting he mustered up the courage up to ask me for my number and a date haha!

It started at 2am getting ready for a sunrise volcano tour at Mt Bromo in Bali. It was obvious that Ryan was flustered at this time because he put his shirt on backwards and was in the bathroom getting ready for a very long time! On the other hand, I was able to just roll out of bed, get dressed and head straight out the door. Soon enough we were at the lookout watching the sun come up over the horizon and the active volcano, when I turned around to see Ryan on one knee with a small engraved wooden Balinese box…. Inside was a ring! It felt like the best day of our lives now engaged and all loved up looking at sun rise over the incredible view before us !

The location of “An Island Hideaway” speaks for it self. It represented what Ryan and I are about because it is a truely magical and romantic place and we wanted to be apart of that. It turn was the first place we looked at and we fell in love with it instantly. By the next day the deposit was in!

The hens night was a typical girly evening out in Brisbane, an organised scavenger hunt. Finding clues from bar to bar, doing silly dares and hunting down fireman. It was really good fun. To follow the night we had a limousine take us up to Mt Cootha to admire the city lights!
The boys did it the right way and started the afternoon with skirmish, (followed by lots of beer) to then arrive at our boys pad on the Gold Coast where the night had much “entertainment” haha.

A Rustic beach wedding is what we were after. Just looking through general wedding magazines really, the venue had so many table dressing options and decorations we could chose from which formed the rustic relaxed beach theme we were after.

To be honest we didn’t really splurge we had a clear idea of what we wanted and it was a simple one. The package was great and included everything we needed! With hair we saved heaps because my sister did it all, including mine! Mum did the bridesmaids bouquets. That was a big save! I guess the splurge was the sea plane arrival and limo hire. But thankfully to our parents they had organised it! So we really appreciated that!

We are luckily going on a 10 day South Pacific cruise! Which we are so looking forward to.
