Gabi and Rhys’ Braeside Estate wedding on the Gold Coast was a beautiful celebration centred around family, connection, and real moments.

With their young son part of the day and a relaxed vision from the beginning, this wedding perfectly reflected what matters most—love, laughter, and being surrounded by the people closest to you.

As a photographer who has captured multiple weddings at Braeside Estate, it remains one of my favourite Gold Coast venues for natural, story-driven wedding photography.

Gabi began her day at home in Carrara, her loyal border collie by her side, radiating calm and excitement. Rhys prepared at The Dorset Hotel, surrounded by friends. Like so many family weddings, there were a few curveballs. Their young son woke up feeling unwell, and rain meant moving the outdoor ceremony into Braeside’s elegant chapel. But the spirit of the day never wavered—everyone was ready to embrace whatever came their way.

Braeside Estate is one of the Gold Coast’s most versatile wedding venues, especially for couples planning a family-friendly celebration.

With spacious lawns, elegant ceremony options, and a seamless indoor backup plan, it offers both beauty and practicality. The central Gold Coast location also makes it easy for guests travelling from Brisbane, Tweed Coast, and surrounding areas.

My approach combines candid storytelling with gentle direction—capturing genuine moments while helping couples feel relaxed and confident in front of the camera.

When photography and videography are booked together, the day flows smoothly with one coordinated team focused on preserving every important moment.

Despite the rain, Gabi and Rhys embraced their wedding day with joy. Even with the ceremony moving indoors, this Braeside Estate family wedding was filled with laughter, love, and genuine emotion. Ofter the ceremony, the couple didn’t hesitate to step outside into the mist for some unforgettable portraits.

Even though Noah wasn’t feeling 100%, he was the heart of the celebration—free to roam between family members and be part of every moment.
