Maleny Wedding Photographer – Maleny Manor Real Wedding

As the wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing all the moments that made up this amazing wedding at Maleny Manor.  Both wedding photography and videography. What a couple, what a day!

This is what they had to say about their wedding day:

“The entire day was just flawless. A whirlwind morning blurred into a ceremony filled with tears, laughter and just a lite amount of friendly ribbing. An amazing photography session led into outstanding meals and speeches followed by a phenomenal night of partying and just generally enjoying a celebration with my loved ones.

The favourite moment of the night has got to be the cake cutting. We were lucky enough to cut the cake, away from our guests (but still in view) on a lake-side pontoon. Shortly after the cut, we were showered with a phenomenal fireworks display.

Taking the few minutes to just be in each others arms, away from the party, enjoying a spectacular show that reminded us of one of our very first nights together will always be a cherished memory. Between Follett Photography and Leah’s team, and Dylan Bond our Celebrant and MC; we’d never be able to pick a favourite because they all matched the vibe so perfectly and helped to make everything on the day as spectacular as we could ever imagine. There are not enough words, flowers or unicorn hair in the universe to thank these guys for everything they did for us and how special they made our night.”

Maleny Wedding Photographer and Videographer –  Follett Photography:

“Leah was amazing every step of the way. She went above and beyond at every point, even offering her help when our venue cancelled on us 2 months before the wedding. The team she put together included herself, Stacey and Steven. I am not exaggerating when I say they smashed it out of the park. They were such a vibe. We heard so many comments leading up on how the photography section of the wedding is such a drag. But that just wasn’t the case at all!! We had an absolute blast. ” – Caitlyn

“We both thoroughly cherish the photos you have captured. We both think you are a lovely person so from both our hears; thank you.” – Anthony

Maleny Wedding Supplier List and reviews from Caitlyn and Anthony:

Ceremony and Reception Venue – Maleny Manor: “Maleny Manor were the perfect hosts. Claire was outstanding in helping us organise everything we needed. She was so flexible and helpful at the short notice they’d gotten because our first venue cancelled only two months before the wedding. I’m so thankful Claire was able to organise to be with us on what is normally one of her days off. Everybody who operated at Maleny Manor on the night and the morning after were phenomenal. Our venue cancelling was a blessing in disguise because Maleny Manor made it everything it should have been and everything we could have ever envisioned from the absolute get-go.”

Celebrant – Dylan Bond:

“Our celebrant and MC, Dylan Bond was everything we could have asked for and more. We were so blown away by his energy and demeanour that we had him locked away only 3 months after we got engaged. He took so much time getting to know us as individuals and a couple. He created a truly amazing ceremony that had all of us laughing, crying and hugging for joy. His vibrant personality kept the party going. He also made everything so easy for us on the night. He took care of absolutely everything we needed so that we could just enjoy ourselves. Miles apart from the other cookie-cutter celebrants we had spoken to, Dylan’s passion shines through in every aspect of what he does. We’re so thankful to have found him for our special day. If you want your guests to be saying at the end of the night “this is the best wedding I’ve ever been to” – you need Mr Bond.”

The Perfect Wedding Dress:

“I went all out with my dress in a Martina Liana design from White Lily Couture. I was blessed to find my dress on my very first appointment in my very first store with so many of my loved ones around me. The private fitting room and consultant (naturally complete with champagne and nibbles) was everything I needed to be able to relax enough to choose my dress. The consultants were absolutely outstanding, taking into consideration every piece of feedback on every dress I tried on. My pick ended up being one she pulled out after my 9th dress tried on and it was perfect.

Hair and Makeup – Blush’d Brides:

“Jas looked after the hair and Cleo the makeup. I cannot compliment these ladies enough on their skill, advice and creativity. I changed suppliers after a disastrous trial with another artist that had me going home in tears. When I left the bridal preview with these ladies, I was blown away and couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. They worked with my vision, my face and features, and my natural hair to create a masterpiece. I didn’t want to go to bed that night and lose what they had created on me. I cannot thank them enough. The family members who had their hair and makeup done with us are usually quite intolerant to all of that. But with Jas and Cleo’s expert advice (and listening to them!) they were all just as happy as I was – if not more so!”

Florist – Mondo Flower Design:

“Mondo Floral Design created exceptional pieces that pulled together everything about our wedding. From the buttonholes tying into the suits and the alter and pavilion pieces taking advantage of all of the natural beauty around us. Also working on short notice, Terrianne was an exceptional guide, helping to bring my vision to life with ease and calm. I was so in love with my bouquet that I tried to keep it alive the entire honeymoon… (it almost made it too, Anthony refused to let it on the flight back home sadly) I also split the flowers up as much as I could, handing them out to my family members. This way, as many people as possible could enjoy the beauty the team had put together for as long as possible. I’m so grateful.”

Stylist – Lovebird Weddings:

“Lovebird Weddings styling was the icing on the cake that was the most wonderful day of our lives. None of it was necessary of course but the devil is in the details. Lovebird created a pavilion dinner space gleaming with the romance and love. This reflected how we felt and kicked a beautiful venue into a level of elegance I could never have managed in my DIY imaginations. The little touches, like the games to keep the guests entertained, all pulled together to contribute to the comments we heard all night long. Like “amazing day” “best wedding I’ve ever been too” “damn, I can’t compete with this”. Thank you Lovebird!

“Natasha from Simply Divine Occasions makes a MEAN cake… and I mean MEAN. The design was flawless. The consultation with her was so lovely and professional and like all of our other suppliers. She heard what we said, saw what we envisioned and made it a reality. We ended up with so much dessert. We actually still had nearly our entire two-tier cake left to take home. This we promptly ate nearly ALL of in the week after returning from our honeymoon and put on 5kgs each (between the cake and the honeymoon food and alcohol of course). It’s a daily struggle to not eat the last piece saved in the freezer for our first anniversary; you can taste the love in every bite of deliciousness. Natasha was actually one of the few suppliers we didn’t change before the wedding.”

Fireworks – Mr Fireworks:

“We were blessed to cut our cake on a lakeside pontoon before being showered with exceptional fireworks from Mr Fireworks International. This was a surprise for our guests. Clinton, our pyro-tech, was so subtle in his set up that we actually thought he was a gardener at first. We even asked him to trim the hedges after we’d finished using that spot for our photos! The show was exceptionally well put together and such a delightful point of difference – absolutely a highlight of the night.”

Suits – Institchu:

“Rebecca Leigh was the Stylist. Super bubbly and friendly. She made the overall experience fantastic and did an exceptional job getting my suit through on short notice. Suit itself was extremely comfortable. Fit to perfection with every specification required tailored to.”

Brides Shoes – Borju Shoes:

“Bridal shoes came from Burju shoes. As a woman with balance issues, temperamental ankles and an intolerance to foot pain, attractive but well-structured and comfortable shoes were a must and Burju delivered in spades.”
