“Leah was absolutely fantastic! Her energy and commitment to the day made us feel like VIPs. That energy was massively appreciated given the poor weather conditions and length of the day. She did so many extra things in the lead up which was just above and beyond. This included checking in on the ladies before her day even started. She even stayed right til the end to ensure she was able to capture the outstanding shots (again postponed due to the weather). Throughout the whole planning process Leah was amazing! She gave guidance on run sheets and fitting in any extra requests we had. Would not hesitate to recommend Leah to any family or friends planning their next event!”

Now a little from me … This wedding day was incredible. The dress, the flowers, the people the weather… everything about this wedding was fun. The venue, the staff, the ceremony, the dancing. “Our wedding was a fantastic party which is exactly what we’d wanted. We were fortunate in that the weather held out for key moments and otherwise made us feel like we were having a wedding in the clouds. The weather also provided some amusement to certain moments which otherwise may have resulted in some serious tears from both the bride and groom. The fact we managed to have so many family and friends join us was amazing given the circumstances and it was clear that they were all there to have a fun day/night. Favourite moments were the speeches and possibly also 5 of us huddled under one umbrella when the rains came through. The time reminiscing during the speeches and hearing the perspective of other people on our relationship was fun.

Favourite supplier – while there were great reviews all around from our guests on food, venue, music etc. the person that was most prominent and impacted our own energy the most was Follett Photography who was there throughout the day keeping us going.”

Venue – Ocean View Estates: “Allison was our wedding coordinator from Ocean View Estates. She was very helpful, responsive and accommodating which was particularly important during planning a wedding from overseas during covid. She accommodated our odd request for a virtual venue viewing with our parents physically present. While on the day we didn’t see too much of her, this speaks to how well organised she is as everything ran very smoothly.

The room was setup amazingly by her and the team and we can’t thank them enough for their efforts and taking care of us all! The reception venue sits separately to the restaurant so you are in your own space with your guests. The food was awesome, they kept to their restaurant standard despite the large amount of covers. Celebrant – Debbie Payne: 

“Debbie was awesome. We only got in touch just over a month out from our wedding as our existing celebrant was unable to conduct the service. She handled the NOIM transition and our last minute requests very professionally and helpfully. She also nailed the first draft of the ceremony she sent for our review. This was great given that we didn’t want an overly formal ceremony just after our initial introductory meeting. Hair and Makeup – Monalisa Styling (Hair) & Richelle Darben (makeup): “Richelle, Lisa & team did a fantastic job of getting the bridal party and mums all glamorous for the day even with the slight delays caused by the poor weather. Not only were they professional, they were so friendly and really helped everyone remain calm despite the nerves. “We chose Sharon from Driftwood Blue Florals to do our bouquet floral, ceremony & reception styling and we wouldn’t change a thing. Her communication and professionalism shone through from our very first meeting. She was super accommodating of our unique organising requirements given we were overseas while planning the majority of the wedding.

Naturally, due to covid and various travel restrictions there were some supplier issues identified about a month before the wedding regarding specific chosen imported florals. Despite this, she worked tirelessly to ensure she was able to deliver the most amazing bouquets and arrangements from alternative suppliers while still remaining budget conscious. She was even able to source additional florals at short notice to cater for the additional final guest numbers to ensure the tables looked spectacular on the day.” Click here to view Instagram Profile.

Cake Designer – Marie Volz: “Marie did a wonderful job on the cake both presentation and flavour. She committed to ensuring the most amazing outcome. We ended up with an extra kitchen cake as the chosen flavour was causing a number of issues with the chosen design due to the heat and humidity (in our opinion this is fantastic as we’ve got leftovers for years!)”

Musician: “David Webster our musician, came to us last minute replacing our initial musician and he was awesome. While we weren’t able to appreciate his canapés acoustic set, there were glowing reviews all around from the guests and venue. He then backed it up with some excellent acoustic music during the reception. This kept the dance floor going right to the end.
