I think that just about every Photographer loves to photograph a wedding at Osteria Weddings in Casuarina. This venue’s intimate courtyard, private garden, and contemporary indoor wedding hall and beautiful local photography locations provide a stunning backdrops make it a dream venue for any couple. 

A Familiar Face Behind the Lens

Kate had been a bridesmaid in a previous wedding I photographed. She already knew my approach— be super organised so that everyone can relax. This familiarity allowed her and her partner to trust me completely with capturing their special day.

A First Look to Remember

The couple chose to do a first look before the ceremony. They wanted this moment to be authentic, not staged. My goal was to capture their emotions without intruding, and Osteria Weddings Casuarina provided the perfect location. Their expressions said it all—pure love and excitement.

Getting Ready at Osteria

Both the bride and groom prepared onsite. The groom’s prep room has a masculine, whiskey-bar vibe, while the bridal suite felt light and elegant. These spaces set the perfect tone for the day ahead.

A Garden Ceremony with a Fun Twist

The ceremony took place in the garden, making for a beautiful setting. The celebrant made it deeply personal, ensuring it was all about them. At the end, a champagne tower added a fun and celebratory touch—an exciting way to kick off the reception!

Stunning Bridal Party Photos at Cabarita Headland

For wedding portraits, we headed to Cabarita Headland. This location is breathtaking! The wind added an unexpected element, but we made it work for us and while we did, the bridal party kept the energy high. The sunset was awesome, the stunning views made for the perfect backdrop — every element made for epic photos.

A Reception Highlight: The Photo Train

Kate and James had their guests step outside into the courtyard again for their first dance. Under the stars, and the festoon lights, where just hours earlier they had said ‘I Do’. Then, after their fun and entertaining first dance, we had a little bit of extra fun. I am not sure what the trend is actually called, but I called it a photo train. This trend ensures every guest gets a picture with the couple while a single song plays. We added a twist by taking one silly and one classic shot with each group. The result? A quick, entertaining, and memorable experience for everyone.
