Jayde and Matt’s Sandstone Point Hotel Wedding Photos – Here is what Jayde said after the big day: “Our wedding went perfectly without a hiccup. It was everything we had imagined and more! It was such a whirlwind but there isn’t anything we would have changed or done differently.”
Here is what Jayde had to say about their wedding photography team, Follett Photography: “For a couple who aren’t used to being photographed or the centre of attention, you were able to make us feel comfortable enough to come out of our shell, but also give us direction and guidance when we felt a little lost. We can’t wait to see the professional images!”
Here is a little of their story, who they chose as their wedding suppliers and a few highlight moments throughout the day.
So Jayde and Matt, how did you meet? “We met on the dating app plenty of fish”
Tell us about the proposal… “Matt wanted to go skydiving and told me it was something on his bucket list. He had it all organised so he jumped out the plane first and me last so that when I landed he was already on the ground on one knee.”
What made you choose the specific location for your wedding? “As a wedding stylist on GC I have been to just about all of the local wedding venues and they weren’t special to me anymore. We chose Sandstone point because we love the Figtree and the chandeliers in the room.”

What I thought…
This wedding was incredible, as you would expect considering the Bride is in the wedding industry. This was my first time photographing a Wedding at Sandstone Point Hotel and the venue does not disappoint! It was a little windy and cold this day (yes, for a portion of the day I was purple) – but the fun outweighed the weather. Stacey and I arrived early so we could check out all the photo spots, but they weren’t hard to find. So many nice backgrounds in one wedding venue, all we had to do is follow the light as it went down.
With the overcast day we didn’t get much of a sunset as we hoped… but we still got one. It was a beautiful setting for a final private moment before heading into the reception. Jayde and Matt even snuck in a little first dance practice as the sun sank below the horizon. Oh! Another highlight was having their German Shepard Fur baby with us on the day. She was a dream to work with! Anyway, that’s enough from me.
